Fees
What a session costs, how you pay, and what insurers usually cover.
Here is what sessions cost, by length and setting. Everything is in euros.
No registration fee, no higher rate for a first session, no mileage charge for coming to you. The price shown is the price paid.
Online
At your home
Home visits run within about twenty minutes of Ervy-le-Châtel, in the Aube, and travel is included. They always last a full hour: the shorter 45-minute format exists online only, where it's the one most people choose.
Paying
You pay after the session, by bank transfer. For home visits, cash and cheques are fine too, if you'd rather.
A euro transfer works from anywhere in the SEPA area, Switzerland and the UK included, and costs neither of us a penny. From further out, write to me and we'll work out the cheapest route for you.
Cancelling
Things come up. Tell me as early as you can and I can give the hour to somebody else — there's usually somebody waiting. More than 24 hours ahead there's nothing to pay. Inside that, the session is charged.
A real emergency is a real emergency. We'll talk about it.
Insurance
French social security won't reimburse sessions with me. It covers psychology through one scheme only, Mon soutien psy, and I'm not registered under it.
Private and international cover is a different story. Expatriate policies often handle this kind of care better than French top-up insurance does, sometimes by a wide margin. Have a look at your policy before writing the idea off.
I issue a named invoice as a matter of course, and a written attestation if you ask. That's what insurers want, and it's enough in nearly every case.
If the fee is the problem
It can be, and it isn't an easy thing to raise. Raise it anyway. Depending on where you are, longer gaps between sessions or the 45-minute format can make it possible to keep going — which is worth a great deal more than a course of therapy that stops after three weeks.
Ask before you decide
About fees, insurance, or anything else. A call or a message will do, and commits you to nothing.
